Electronic bits and pieces
Class D Wavemeter
An old WWII calibration aid. All UK Radio
Hams were obliged to say they had one of these or the American
BC221 equivalent or a suitable alternative under the terms of
their license (before digital tuning became the norm). It could
tell you if your transmissions were within the Amateur band. At
least (a) if you actually had one; (b) if you did and it worked
and (c) if you did and it worked and you knew how to use it. Most
if pressed couldn't satisfy (a) let alone (b) or (c)!
